I just freezed a frame and it appears to be suede chukkas again as he's tieing pretty high up on the ankle (Bahamas Goldfinger Jr. scene); hard to make out but that's my best guess; definitely seem suede.

They're not chukkas in the Bahamas but, they are in the beginning and rubber soled ones. I saw a close up in a Casino Royale filming book.

I went into a Brioni boutique to check out the bond edition tux, it cost 6900 USD. I don't know much about Brioni tux, do they usually cost that much for RTW?

I also checked out the Bond tux and they are HKD38000 here in Hong Kong which is slightly more expensive than a "non-Bond" version. The Bond version is cut a bit slimmer.

They are still relatively boxy I think, I tried them on and they definitely need to be tapered to fit my taste. The tailor told me Brioni made it like that, so they can taper it to fit individual taste.

Already ordered. He had on khaki jeans with it also. (what make I do not know?)

I also like his navy long sleeve button shirt (???) and linen trousers playing cards when he won the vintage Aston Martin

Did anyone notice how gay this movie was? There were the slow pans across Daniel Craig's gleaming muscular torso, the square cut bathing suits you only see in OUT, the vaguely fetish Appreciation-y torture scene (PG-13? what?), the camera shots of 007 walking away, and a notable lack of female nudity. Completely ridiculous.

Why? Men should be peacocks. Male animals are peacocks. Only the post 70's American male has gone back to hiding their bodies. The Greeks and especially the Spartans prided themselves on their bodies and male fitness. The square cut suit is a very conventional swim suit for Americans men. The movie is a throwback to Stallone's films which had his fixation of his own physique. Which Bond film had female nudity?

I guessing Max is in the US. I could be wrong, but it's a common us thing. The US is currently in a very anti/fear homophobia-, I'm not metro-sexual mentality amongst a certain segment of society. In fact, and I'm not saying Max is like this, some take great pride in their slobbiness as being somehow masculine. It's an odd cultural issue. Europe/latin america is so far ahead of the times with their sexuality. Hell, Switzerland is really ahead of their time. The african american US population are totally cool with being well heeled and well dressed. Something about being a white male, and well dressed, built etc is gay to a certain sector of America. Hell the Romans didn't have any hangups either as you say. James Bond has always been a sex symbol, and yea, a built bond is probably pretty hot to alot of women. Why wouldn't they show him as so. I don't see anything gay about a man wanting to be in good shape to attract hot women. However, he has a right to his opinion, so be it.

wow!! thanks for the tip on the bond polo shirt; i plan to order one in black, one in navy blue. I'd rather wear something like this than the cookie cutter polos from lacoste, RL, and other brands everyone else is wearing (plus only I will know i'm wearing the bond polo shirt with my new omega seamaster this summer!) i need to contact sunspel to see what size i should order, as i'm a 41reg jacket, 33 waist-- not sure if i should get the medium, or if the shirts will shrink and need a large.

does anyone have more info on other items worn in the film? So far, looks like we know about the sunglasses, wristwatch, the brioni tuxedo of course, turnbull formal shirt, and lobb shoes (even though they were bluchers, still john lobb plain leather shoes i guess. maxim showed the model of shoe worn recently, actually but they aren't my style), and the polo shirt.

Exactomundo. It's a great dark navy and unique styling. I hate that freaking POLO emblem. Every Tom,Dick and Harry.

Sunspel makes great stuff. Their boxers are the nicest that I have seen, and I imagine that the polo sill be of similar quality.

If that's too costly Land's End makes terrific mesh and pima soft cotton polos with no logos in navy and black among other colours. Not the same I know but looks similar and at about $25, they wear forever and ever.
