Did you mean Bond's Shoes? I was alluding to the shoes worn by that Italian dude that was coordinating the operation. I remember him walking in Capri and when his heel came up, I saw a red stripe.

I considered it briefly. I still wouldn't mind having the Goldfinger suit though.

Am I the only one to have been so caught off guard by Crag´s acting ability and decent plot changes in a 007 movie to have not focused enough on clothing? I need to see this one again!

I was impressed by the durability of the Brioni slacks in the opening scene: all that action, and the pants showed hardly any wear.

I did like the dark woven tie with the textured white shirt. Brioni again, right?

Any one notice that no one smoked in the Casino (not even the customary cigar)? How odd for a 007 flick. The 21st century Bond spends more time at the gym than in a smokey bar. Bogart must be rolling over in his grave.

I think quite a few of us on these forum have much better taste then Mr. Bond.

I would find it tacky to wear a watch with a 007 logo on it.

Which issue was this?

Daniel Craig promoting the movie in Sydney today and looking flawless in a three-piece light grey fine pinstripe suit, pale blue shirt, silver knitted tie and chestnut laceups (can't tell style)...maybe a comeback for waistcoats is on the horizon?

They seem to be Lloyd's. Lloyd is a very famous shoemaker in Germany, but the quality is somewhere below Loake's; most of the shoes aren't goodyear welted...

They typically have this red stripe at the heel.

They are much worse than Loake. A swedish C&J seller uses a cut in half Lloyd shoe to show the difference.

20 years ago and in the time before Lloyd's quality was not so bad, but today it's only the label. But to be fair: They do produce some traditional looking shoes (cap toes, balmorals, budapesters) and that's more than 90% of today's shoemakers have in their range; and I think it's nearly impossible to produce well made (not to speak of goodyear-welted...) shoes in Lloyd's price category.

Most of Bond's shoes in Casino Royale were John Lobb, he wears the 2006 in the last scene. Source: Dec 06 British GQ

Yes, this drives me crazy. As Bond would never be caught with such a conspicuous logo on his own attire, putting it on his commemorative attire is obnoxious and it surprises me that a 'batmanified' Omega sells.

Hi, does anyone know what overcoat Bond is wearing when he kill the guy going on about the number of kills it takes to become a 00? Is it a double breasted one or single breasted? Who makes it?

Thanks

Considering you can barely see anything, the scene is dark and in black and white and only on screen for a few seconds total, it's kind of hard to speculate about details... but there is a button visible that would indicate that it's probably some sort of 6x2 overcoat with a keystone button pattern (top two buttons wider, bottom four in a rectangle). Maybe made by Brioni, though if they were smart they would have known it wouldn't matter and just used a cheap one.

Welcome to the forum, BTW.

James Bond wears John Smedley in Casino Royale (November 14th 2006)
Daniel Craig, the new James Bond, can be seen wearing styles Belmont (V neck sweater in Black) and Richards (Roll Collar sweater in Black) in the latest Bond blockbuster, Casino Royale. Both styles are available in our To Your Wardrobe collection or in the Mens Merino section.

John Smedley - Licenced to Knit

Any one have some screen caps?

The coat appears to be a double breasted wool trech
