Back in the day we used to be able to rent a Ford Taurus with full front bench seat and the transmission on the steering column (well out of the way). That was the ultimate road head car.

And the rental would cost us about 20 bucks a day (road head extra)

Buying M3s from enthusiasts is the worst because they all think their cars are worth more than market value.

It's a mixed bag, in my experience. Some actually price their cars fairly. This is one of those cases. It's priced fairly, has good maintenance records, minor cosmetic damage that can be easily fixed / repaired, and to top it off, the owner just recently swapped out the rears with new rears (Conti EC).

E46 M3 owners are the absolute worst at this, no question. Not this guy, who isn't asking for the moon at $16.5, but I regularly see e46fanatics or bimmerpost ads for 2003-2004 M3's with modifications for mid to high 30's.

Test drove an F10 M5 today.

WOW!

That is all.

:slayer:
I think they are a great bargain for what you get. A much better bargain than the E63 in fact, especially when you consider that it has more options available compared to the E. There are times when I want a smaller sedan than what I have, and during those times I think of the M5.

A generous friend just let me drive his 997 Turbo S. The PDK transmission is impressive and the car is stupid fast without sacrificing everyday driveability.

LOL.. followed up today with a test drive of the E92 M3. Never has 414hp felt so slow. The M5 is truly a beast, and BMW can add whatever gimmicks they want (Active Sound Design, for example) when the car performs like that.
