Cardigan Sweater with Elbow Patches

I saw someone walking by yesterday with a slim gray cardigan that had elbow patches on it. The only other sweater I've found that looked someone close was this Burberry one, here: http://us.burberry.com/product/index...entPage=family

This isn't the sweater as the patches aren't the same. Does anyone know where else I might find this style cardigan? I was hoping for something less expensive as well, but I know that's not always in the cards.

My good friend has a navy J. Crew cardigan with brown suede elbow patches. He had a tailor put the patches on because he wore through the elbows.

Try doing the same.

I suppose pre-patched clothing makes more sense than distressed jeans, but I remain skeptical.

Cucinelli has done a lot with elbow patches on sweaters and sport coats. Certainly not cheap, but they typically pull it off well.

OP, this is an easy one. Buy a slim cardigan you can afford (be it anything from Banana Republic to Brunello Cucinelli), buy some suede patches, visit a tailor.
