Can someone explain to me the logic behind buying levis STF jeans one size smaller?

I've read a lot about the STF's and looking to buy a pair. I was thinking of buying my waist size (36) to get a slimmer look after shrinking but I've read people are actually going DOWN a waist size. Wouldn't this be way too tight after shrinking?

The reason I ask is because I can barely put on a 34' ...I would think that a 34' in STF would just worse after letting it shrink..

Or can this denim also stretch?

Get a 35" or should fit comfortably before soak. Just because sizing down works for internet mangina's doesn't mean it would work for you.

Except in the length, so don't **** that up.

Also, next time please use one of the sticked threads for questions like this.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
