There are lots of bags in the manbag thread are not "way too gay." That thread is the locus of 98% of bag knowledge on SF. Reading that thread is time well spent. It isn't that long.

Actually I agree with the OP on the manbag thread. While you are right there are a lot of masculine bags in that thread there are also a fair amount of bags that look more like purses then anything else. It's a long thread and can be hard to find what you are looking for. I don't blame him for starting a new thread.

Yeah - not quite my style. Very distinctive for sure, but too unstructured for my tastes - and I couldn't carry that off with my normal mode of dress.

I dunno. I get where you and others are coming from, and I'm not absolutely sure it'll work - but although I did look at the Newspaper it looks too much like a tote to me.
