Buying My First Decent Suit... Need Help!

So I say decent because my budget is $1000 after taxes. I know that high end suits can really get up there, but I work at a nuclear plant and don't get to wear a suit on a day to day basis but I love to get dressed up and feel good from time to time (also its getting to the point where most of my friends are getting married, and I want to look better than everyone at my table).

I live close to Toronto and that is where I will most likely be going to get the suit. I've done some research and read some blogs and there is just so much to choose from out there. I really want to get one tailor fit to me. I've gotten one thing tailored in my life (my first sports jacket... and it feels amazing). Not to sure if MTM is that much more expensive or not, and that's why I came here.

I've been looking at some retailers online (HR, Korry's, Gotstyle but I can't really judge which brands and cuts will look good on me). So I'm posting this for some insight on the current deals, best-prices-in-town, service that will make you feel welcome and overall which retail store out there will give me amazing experience.

Can't wait to hear from you guys and gals.
