Thanks guys. Florent, one difference is that on your sweater the size tag is attached separately from the materials tag. I’m not sure if that’s a significant difference. Here are the other tags attached in a group with the size and materials tag, all in a pile. The washing instructions appear on the back of the materials tag. The tag relating to “non-textile parts” is printed on both sides, and is attached even though there are no non-textile parts. The BC tag is attached by just two stitches, one on either side top corner. Interestingly, even though the size tag on the sweater says M, the sales tag which may be false says that the size is 50.

I am really appreciating all of your help.

Thanks to a member here who had a useful e-mail address, I was able to communicate with Cucinelli in NYC today. As I mentioned earlier, they wouldn’t evaluate the authenticity of an item not sold by an authorized seller. However, the helpful woman I was dealing with offered to check the SKU attached to the sweater. She got back to me rather promptly, and let me know that the SKU corresponds to a child’s item from the 2018-19 collection. So, the $376 Cucinelli 8-ply cashmere fisherman’s crew neck turns out to be a fake. What a shock!

Thanks to those who provided input.

As already pointed out in another thread, the jumper looked like a fake: now it's clear. I would immediately contact the seller, and if he's not collaborative, I would open a contrversy at PayPal.
