Brooks Brothers quality slipping? Defects on new shirts

I recently ordered three non-iron shirts from BB. After I got them home and unfolded them, I noticed defects on two. The first one had an obvious fraying edge along the shoulder seam. It'll have to go back. You can see what happened with the second one - not worth returning, but still not indiciative of great quality control. Everyone produces a dud once and a while, but two out of three ain't good.

Are those shirts from the outlet store? That's awful. I bought 3 shirts from Brooks Brothers store in the Galleria and it was difficult. I couldn't buy any of the striped or white shirts, because they were too sheer for appropiate work attire. One of the shirts had a slightly frayed collar after 1 washing.

Their quality was really bad during the M&S ownership, but has improved steadily. They still have problems from year to year. Their quality for each item varies every few years, depending on the factory that got the contract.

These were bought at the retail (not outlet) store. They didn't have my size in so they were transferred from the catalog division.
