A duffle is a casual coat, and to my mind the Rugby coat is more casual and a little more stylish, a bit shorter, and proper, rugged, rope toggles, like the originals.

If you want a smart coat get a chesterfield or a covert coat, if you want a casual coat get the Rugby duffle, the BB is trying to be a smart duffle, and they just aren't meant to be smart. Also, it's blue, not black.

man, now i'm starting to see both sides of the argument. Specifically, i think PaulSLH is on to something...
The brooks is definitely a better coat. But is it trying to be something it's not? Man, i should have never bought both - now i'm stuck!

If that's the case then I vote Rugby.

These reasons plus the no zipper put Rugby over the top for me. Also, that second picture is giving me just the slightest hint of goth/manga flavor--the black, high collar, dark toggles, 3/4 length and bit of narrowing at the waist--I know it's a stretch, and may just be the pictures, but once that smell's in the air I back away every time.

BB.

Is it really that slim fitting (which looks good), or do you have it cinched in the back? Is it regular BB, or BBBF?

it's wild - it reallly is that slim fitting. It is normal BB, and i'm a skinny guy - i couldn't believe how slim this was. The salesman said that they were all surprised when these came out, with their slimness.
