right, i think it is disturbing what drakes and the armoury charge for WL stuff

Don't get me wrong, William lockie is worth it but not at a price that is shameful.

Thank you for the clarification also. Learn something new everyday.

Can someone help me with understanding this:

I checked the labels of the knitwear purchased over the last couple of months, and it seems somewhat inconsistent. My light-green Cordings pullover has a tag that says 100% pure new wool (even though their website says 100% lambswool), but my dark-green William Lockie jumper I purchased online (which should be exactly the same except the Cordings label) says 100% lambswool.

Also, the WL cardigan I bought says 100% pure new wool on the woolmark, but then it says 100% Merino on the WL label.

The navy cardigan could be a labeling screwup, as it was an outlet item anyway. But how can the Cordings jumper say pure new wool? Isn't pure new wool something different to lambswool?

Here are the pics:
I have Merino and Lambswool from Cordings, William Lockie, Alan Paine, Slater and Walker knitwear. It's all good. I have a lot of Peter Scott that sadly closed a few years ago...

My Johnstons of Elgin lambswool and Alan Paine Geelong have been very scratchy

I also tried Alan Paine lambswool and geelong, but I found them very scratchy compared to WL. I send them back right away. I also bought a cotton cable knit crickett/tennis jumper, which was pretty perfect.

WL is so far really outstandingly good. However, if you deal with them directly, their customer service is pretty much unacceptable, they either don´t get your question or they ignore it. I actually had to call in, when I ordered from them (teviotdale mills). Their website is also as bad as it can get. But I guess you can do that, when your product is really good.
