Hello,
I am in the market for a new suit, and prefer a good quality one with full canvas construction. Up until recently, I have decided to buy the vast majority of my tailored clothing with Brooks Brothers as I have always been most familiar with them. However, I am trying to look for a suit that is better quality, but I am not sure what size to look for. I usually wear a 48 Regular in the madison cut, and I am not sure what that size would be equivalent to in other brands.
I am most interested in Hickey Freeman. I looked online and the only few suits I like are part of their B series (Beacon cut). I am under the impression that this is a slimmer line, but I don't know if this is true or not. Do you think it is comparable to BB's Madison cut?
I am also interested in Samuelsohn, but I am afraid they are out of my price range. Do you know a good place to find them in the NY area or online. I only see a few from Nordstroms. And if I were to look into a Samuelsohn, what cut and size would fit me well.
Lastly, last time I went to Paul Stuart, I saw a decent amount of merchandise on sale. Does anyone know if you might be able to find a Navy suit in the $1,000 range there?
