I have a Borelli Tuxedo Shirt and found two aspects which are puzzling to me, perhaps someone can answer them:

the first button below the bib has a 2 inch piece of cloth attached to it. The strip is on the front of the shirt and cannot be removed. It has buttonholes but serves no obvious purpose. Anyone have a clue about this
Finally, there is thin strip of cloth that is sewn on the back of the shirt connecting the base of the neck to the bottom of the yoke. It is sewn at the top and bottom so the middle of the strip is loose. Anyone care to enlighten me on the purpose of this strip?

thanks, otterageous

I'm pretty sure this question has been asked and answered ad infinitum since this forum started.

1) The tab is for attaching the shirt to your trousers so it doesnt ride up when you sit down

2) the loop on the yoke is for threading the neck strap of your backless waistcoat so it stays in place.

In future, use the search function please!
