I purchased a cash. sweater from this guy in October - the label struck me as off as did the zipper, so I tried to return it according to his own return policy. He ignored me. I contacted him through PayPal. He responded, stating that there was no way they were counterfeit, but he'd accept them back. Fine by me. I mailed it off. No response. I open a dispute with PayPal, stating that I sent the guy his goods upon his request to his supplied address, and that he hasn't sent back my money. They rule in his favor saying my tracking # is invalid. It isn't - it showed the item being delivered to Italy in November. I had to fax them (last week) a copy of the shipping slip and all. So it's taken approximately 2 months for nothing to happen with most of the actual work taking place on my behalf.Originally Posted by kronik
Is it a dress shirt or something more casual like a button down? I have a button down from Ian with a thick button too (I also have two button downs with thin buttons). However, all my dress versions have thin top button and I think they all say Luigi Borrelli in the button.Originally Posted by horton
Before this guy's Ebay store is completely trashed, I hope everyone is taking a look at this guy's site to confirm your own opinion. I don't see anything that indicates that his Borrelli items are anything but authentic. The shirts have handmade buttonholes, buttons are think MOP, and the buttons are sewn on via the crow's feet stitch pattern. Also, as has been said, not all Borrellis come with the narrow top button. The labels all certainly look real too. The one and only thing I see that raises any question is a sweater that doesn't have a matching color pull to pull up the zipper. But hey, Borrelli makes a very wide array of garments (like multi-colored nylon vests without any hand-stitching), perhaps they don't put pulls on some sweaters....Originally Posted by kabert

If I may throw my own personal interest in the hat.. I say boycott him simply because he knowingly has (tried, maybe..) screwed me out 300 bucks and my SF brethren should stand beside me!Originally Posted by kronik
The size 15.5 shirts are all fake so stay away. The others however look authentic.Originally Posted by EL72
I don't care about this guy and I would not buy from him if only because of Kronik's story but the 15.5 Borrelli's that I saw from him are not fake. If he has found a cheap way to do hand stitched yokes, button holes, buttons and seemingly the collar (although the pic is not clear enough) then this guy is the counterfeiter of all counterfeiters. The richness of the fabrics is also obvious in the pics. Keep in mind that Borrelli makes garments for a variety of stores and markets.Originally Posted by edmorel
