Bicycle toes, do you like them?

Bicycle toe shoes have innondated shoe stores here and so many people wear them even with a suit. But I just don't like them and don't know the reason behind it. What do you think of bicycle toes, aren't they too casual for wearing with a suit? And even for casual dressing, do you still like them? And where should they be in the dress to casual scale? I much prefer moc toe or norwegian split toe.

I like the AE Hillcrest when it is purchased in a narrow width. It is a substantial shoe and great with jeans IMO. This is about the only one I like.

I've never seen an attractive pair, and I've seen many that I wanted to bludgeon with a bar stool.

I think this is my problem with them, too. There are too many examples of poorly made and styled bicycle toe shoes for me to want to buy a pair, even if they are from a reputable manufacturer.

I have one pair: AE Concords

A mistake that I won't make again. Rarely wear them.

MANY better less formal styles, IMO.

I have a pair of AE Hillcrest too. I bought them after reading a flattering article that raved about them. Probably a mistake. Not really my favorite shoe looks-wise, but it is very comfortable and still looks better than the shoes of most guys I work with. I wear them more casually with sweaters. They are way too substantial to wear with suits. Knowing what I know now, I'd buy some split toes instead.

I guess it would depend on how the style is originally presented to you.

The first time i saw a bicycle toe, one of the more affluent customers of a place i worked in was wearing them, and they really looked nice.
