Generally, audio cables are not snake oil, but the explanations offered for some cables' (unproven) sonic superiority is pure snake oil.....

I think there is a corrolation between the amount paid for cable 'snake oil' is inversely related to the length of one's trouser snake.

I think the loaner Shuntaya must have suffered some degradation. Did you elevate it to reduce EMF interference?

It might have been.. I got stoned after 2 hours of listening.

But then again..... (another bullshit audio myth), the loaner would have been EVEN BETTER cause it had been 'broken in'...

Was your friend an expert in photon technology?

Not really, although she worked on some of the computer programs for CERN, and she does wickerwork as a hobby.

Teflon has been proven in capacitor applications.

What does this have to do with cables? Most audiophile capacitor upgrades are misguided.

    Quality photons add value.

What is photon technology and how does it improve audio cable quality? It sounds so sci-fi and advanced, like the cables will shoot laser beams!

I hope they're not like the ill-tempered Sea Bass in my radio cabinet - that's the best I could do.

So where does Bluetooth (wireless) rate on AF's heirarchy of cable and what with what auto should it be compared? An electric car?

    Here's Nordost vs. wireless:

I have not used much wireless so I'm not sure how good it is but what I have heard at friends has not been good.

    Lol........................
    but NO.
A friend of mine who knows how to braid, made a speaker cable very very similar to one of Shuntayas high end. Then a group of us ABXed it against a loaner Shuntaya.

    HEARD NO DIFFERENCE.

Uh, it's Shunyata and they are more known for their AC cords and conditioners.

A special AC cord? Like to plug into the wall? I didn't realize a special cord was needed. Does it purify the power?

Dude, power cords are just the tip of the iceberg. Welcome to our wacky world.

Is there a way to jack directly into the power station in order to get pure MAX POWER?

BTW, does transforming the audio data into a photon and sending it through fiber optics improve the signal?
