Best lightweight summer denim

Can anyone suggest a good pair of lightweight summer denim jeans that will keep me cool and ventilated during the summer. Must be a slim or straight fit only

Naked & Famous makes "painter" jeans in 5oz denim that's probably lighter than anything else you will ever find.

It comes in Slim Guy (straight leg) and Weird Guy (tapered slim fit).

Thanks for your suggestions. Those are the ones I was looking into purchasing. Just wondering. How the durability of the material is and how will it hold up long term being only 5oz.

I would be interested to hear people's opinions of the the five oz painter denim.

i would say apc. My only experience with jeans that are comfy for the summer besides other mall brands. They're woven pretty loosely. If you hold em up to the light you can pretty much see right through them...not really, but you can see tons of light coming through. Unlike some of my other jeans where you don't see anything.

Someone in the naked and famous denim thread said the painters seem pretty durable. I'm sure N&F would take care of you if you had any major malfunction with the jeans

I've gotten a lot of use out of a cheap pair of Nudie Tube Kelly's during the Australian summer, which can get quite humid and hot. The denim used on that model is light and breathes very well.

At Self Edge our best selling jean for people that want something super comfortable and light but still wears wells over time is Sugar Cane's 2009 model. Light weight, unsanforized but it comes rinsed, and it's a straight slim fit.
