Greetings esteemed council of classic menswear,

I have recently purchased a new blazer, somewhere between grey and dimgrey if we're getting technical, and I'm looking to get a pair of safe/versatile business-causal like shoes. I am flexible on what safe/flexible and business-causal because what the hell do I know. I have shirts and pants in a variety of colors but just the single blazer. If pictures would help I'm glad to post them. I am a college student, so I am on a mild to moderate budget.

I'm currently looking at,
https://www.touchofmodern.com/sales...5eaaadc05/ravelson-dress-formal-oxford-cognac

https://www.touchofmodern.com/sales...-bdb5f6f7a1a1/dylan-plain-captoe-oxford-black

which will be representative of my impeccable or atrocious taste. I am almost hoping to get a comment that they are too plain, but I do enjoy how they look. All comments are appreciated, thanks!

I don't know the brand and can't speak to quality, but the elastic cutouts in the first are odd and I would avoid that pair, especially with a blazer. There's nothing wrong with the color necessarily, it's a matter of style.

Thank you gents, much appreciated. Turns out my dad has a pair of barely worn Ferragamos (he says the lighting is bad but it is a consistent medium brown) and given that those shoes cost about 14x more than my blazer I think I need to get a blazer that pairs with the shoes. I am certainly taking suggestions now that the game has changed, or would I need to make a new post?

They're just brown shoes, don't get hung up on the price. Nothing's changed, you can wear brown and black shoes with a grey sportcoat. Enjoy.
