I do like Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives in spite of Fieri (the food depicted always looks damn good).

I like the Next Iron Chef. Except for the obnoxious advertising for American Airlines.

+1 he obviously can be annoying but it's an entertaining show with a lot of interesting places.

Good Eats is one of my favorites

Man vs Food on the Travel channel is also a lot of fun to watch, certainly not for the faint of heart

Bizarre Foods, **** the haters - Zimmern is nothing but a nice guy to everyone he meets.

No Reservations, although Bourdain's elitism gets annoying sometimes.

I can't express how much I enjoy Alton Brown's "Good Eats."

Put a bunch of genteel pubbers into a fake fake Ramsay restaurant and watch their pretense and Ramsay's personality.

At least it's congruent: the show is as formulaic as the food. Meat. Pan. Oil. Butter. Herb. Done.

I like Chopped, and Throwdown! with Bobby Flay. I also love watching Mario Batali anytime he is on the Food Network. I've only seen the first season of Top Chef, and also enjoyed it. I must say though you can find some GREAT videos on youtube of Marco White cooking for some of his old Chefs/mentors. And those videos are by far the best food, and restaurant industry videos I have ever seen.

About the only show where I've seen good, simple food being made. I also think that Ramsay is a lot funnier in his non-US bullshit shows. His interactions with people on The F Word is very much what he's really like in person.

In the old days of the Food network there was a lot more of that... sarah moulton was a pro at that

Good Eats, Iron Chef, and Giadas Cleavage are my favorites.

Top Chef is cool sometimes... I watch Bourdain but I can't stand the guy hes annoying, never shuts up and thinks hes soo clever but somehow his show is still watchable.

I agree regarding the food, but I don't need an hour-long show for three simple recipes which require an appropriately simple amount of time. Between the actual cooking sequences, the amateurs are presumably ruining a lot of food which the audience can't even see. We just sit there watching pots, pans, and pejoratives fly then get an arbitrary verdict of just how amateur they really are when Ramsay calls out an inestimable integer.

It's like Scooby Doo: I scrutinize every detail of the entire episode only to be disappointed in my efforts when some half-drawn passers-by is unmasked in a suspenseful but pointless conclusion.

I like his show, but his facade can really get in the way.
