Another set of 10 went for $900! (Not sure if these were Lobbs)

He had small feet though. Size 8 American?

Valued at $75 to $110, the lot with the slippers included Ruth Madoff's monogrammed shirt. A young man paid $6,000 for all of it, saying he'll never be able to wear the slippers because his shoe size is 13; Madoff wore a size 8. He declined to give his name.

Besides bulls and fine watches, Madoff loved shoes. He owned about 250 pairs, many never worn -- made in Italy, France, Belgium and England.

Ten pairs of Madoff's used designer shoes sold for $900, against a minimum of $250.

For a guy who had access to significant amounts of other peoples money and who spent it with reckless abandon, his 80+ Charvet shirts prove one thing: he might have known brands but he had no appreciation for the way they ought to look. I base that shallow assessment on the poor quality of the cleaning and finishing of the shirts displayed in the catalog. I can just picture the folks at Charvet cringing at the mere thought of anyone treating their shirts in that manner.

But they're mostly loafers and all used, depending on condition, still a good deal. I assume they're all in excellent condition given the huge rotation. There's a lot of new Charvet sox, I wonder what went for. Anyone has first hand experience with Charvet sox? How much at retail? I assume they're top notch.
