About a year ago there was an auction for their jewerly, watches and some art. It was a waste of time. Almost everything went for above market or brand new retail prices. Not a single deal to be had then. I guess people wanted a piece of a history. Not sure what kind of prices his used clothes will sell at though.

His feet are my size so I'm gonna try bidding again. That's one hell of a shoe rotation he has.

Edit: On second thought, no lots worth buying. 333 looks okay but I don't know what kind of shoes they are.

There's something inherently pathetic about having your worldly possessions on display like this, bearing in mind the obvious backstory. I suppose that's the least of concerns for anyone involved in the Madoff story (inc. old Bernie himself), aside from the fact that bilked investors will presumably be on the receiving end of some/all of the proceeds (a pittance in the scope of things). Mountains of excess purchased with money that was never his. Pathetic, soulless and filthy.

The idea of buying clothes that he wore spooks me. What kind of person would buy his ties or shoes and wear them? Or just collect them?

I don't think anybody thinks he is worth celebrating. but what should become of his clothes? they should be thrown out? or someone who has worked for their money should enjoy them (or make money with them)

I too am curious to see what some of his clothes sell for. are they worth more or less b/c his name is attached to them?
