If it is a good, gold-filled Italian buckle, then:

20% buckle
10% leather
70% designer name

It depends. Sterling silver buckles in USA tend to cost from $100 to $300. "Designer" buckles go from $500 to $1000+. A brass buckle wouldn't cost much except for the expensive name on it like "Dunhill." For example: http://www.luxuryhaven.com/product_i...roducts_id=726
