I just got a pair of these. Love them. The feel of the leather and crafsman ship is top notch. I don't see too many people wearing loafers or boat shoes these days. What do you guys think?

I live in Fort Lauderdale and it appears to be the footwear choice for many locals (40 and over), but I must say that Sperry is the preferred brand amongst the younger crowd. I only have bit loafers and driving loafers, but if I am going to be out on a boat, I would hope to have boat loafers too and I would make sure they were sperry top spiders.

Those are nice! I like Sperry's too. But I have never owned boat shoes. I never thought they'd appeal to me. But I live close enough to large bodies of water to work it out. I think that's a hard rule. Wearing those shoes and living near water.

Maybe I should hold off until I own a boat. And learn to swim.

I have at least 4 pair of Sperry's. Pretty much live in them in the summer. Way better looking than flip flops (plus still sockless), if I'm at the lake and they get wet it's not a problem, and they look pretty cool.

I've been wearing Sperry Topsiders almost everyday. I don't really like wearing socks in the summer and Topsiders are some of the only decent looking (and affordable) shoes that don't smell terrible when I'm sockless.

There was a huge topsider sale at the local old lady shoe store. They were all in ostrich skin. That is not a skin that should go in a boat.
