Back from Italy - the damage done.

First, a big thank you to all of those who helped me out with suggestions and information in my 'Going to Italy' thread.

Here's what I ended up with:

Navy Cucinelli wool/cashmere v-neck
Brown, unlined deer skin gloves from Cilento (not sure if these are unbranded Merola or not - the guy I spoke to didn't seem to know. Either way, they are very nice.)
White Finamore cotton/linen shirt
Light blue Finamore cotton shirt
Light blue Finamore linen PS
Navy Finamore knit tie
Aqua Borrelli Luxury Vintage linen shirt
Navy Borrelli canvas belt
Off white Borrelli canvas belt
(The belts are made by Barone Roccadoro and have solid brass buckles with a finish that looks like brushed steel.)
White cotton/hemp Incotex pants
Dark brown Tod's suede moccasins

David, Marinella charges between 90 and 100 Euros (I forgot) for an OTR grenadine tie.

After being escorted from their smaller store - around the corner and up a wide set of stairs - to their larger one (necessary for a bespoke order) I enquired about their silk. The woman I spoke with didn't know and phoned someone to check.

Apparently they get some of their grenadine silk from the UK and some from Italy; I wasn't given any names at first. When I suggested Fermo Fossati as the Italian source, they replied that some of their silk indeed was from there.

Price of a 3 fold bespoke grenadine is 120 Euros, (what they call) a 7 fold is 180. I didn't go to Cappelli, sorry.

I made a bespoke order for a navy grenadine that probably is made with FF silk as it looked very similar to what I've seen in photos of Hober ties.

Marinella also had a less chunky grenadine, which I assume is from the UK supplier.

The collage is made with Picasa 3 - it's free and very easy to use.
