Both croc and calf taste great. Not so sure about horse, snake, lizard and ostrich.

Croc tail is nice. I've mainly had it cooked on a teppan (Japanese hotplate) when cut into cubes.

Horse is good, although I've mainly eaten it raw, as "basashi".

Snake, as blah said, isn't so good but deep fried, crispy snake skin is nice.

Lizard, when cut open and grilled over the hot coals, is good and tastes like a cross between lamb and chicken.

Dog is nice grilled but not as good when stewed, although that might also have something to do with the people making the stew.

I've never had ostrich, but wasn't such a fan of emu.

So... relative of mine brought me back some foie gras from France.

What do I make with it?

Stand in front of fridge with some dry biscuits and eat it.

Or more sophisticated

Make some toast and sit at table and eat it.

Yes, I think it's basically good to eat as is. Perhaps just warm it up (not even sure how to do this - oven? microwave?) and serve it with freshly baked, lightly toasted baguettes.

If budget isn't an issue, I would go bespoke clothes (rather than Zegna or Brioni suits) and shoes

In Sydney, speak to Joe @ The Finery Company for bespoke clothes and RTW/MTO G&G's. For Semi-Bespoke St Crispins, speak to Karl Sussman

@blake91 , this is your best advice. In particular, listen carefully to what these very experienced gentlemen stylists have to say, and follow their recommendations.

You might also care to commission one or two items of clothing while you're there.

Do they have a website at all? or is it appointment only?

Joe is in the conservative business dress, with his own place opening up in the next few weeks.

Karl I believe operates out of his home in the north.

All by appointment only,

Just go with Oscar Hunt or Suit Shop.

Both of them have been used lots by forum members (including myself) and have a good reputation amongst aussie #igents.

Oscar Hunt/Suit Shop would be a budget conscious choice. Not saying that TFC is expensive, its just above their price for a lot more quality. That said, it would be less than if you walked in Zegna or Brioni

Brisbane Members: The newsagent in Ashgrove carries The Rake, 12 bucks. Haven't seen it elsewhere is Australia though I'm sure it is available.

Ashgrove, my old stomping ground. We lived there for 3 years. Have you checked out Junk Bar across the road?
