I guess it just comes down to my subjective tastes. I've always much preferred the silhouette of Brosnan's Bond but my central concern is that a tight buttoning point and overtapered trousers have become - to the average viewer at least - roadsigns of style.

Sadly, I must agree with this wholeheartedly. All you have to do is look at any of a myriad of clothing sites that regular men (not us SF weirdos) look at - DMarge, GQ, Tumblr #menswear blogs and so on - and just about all you see being spruiked is overly tight, short suits with high buttoning points and high-hemmed trousers with overly narrow legs.

It's really rather depressing.

Plenty of tight suits on SF. I think there is a fine line somewhere - somewhere a suit fits well and nods its head in the direction of current fashion, I suppose, whilst elsewhere it is 'fashion victim'. A tighter suit would be fine with normal lapels and a correct button height, perhaps. I prefer slimmer trousers infact, personally.

I still think Daniel C looks good though - but the suits in Casino etc were better.

First why smoke? Who wants to be an addict for a multinational pusher. Wait isn't Sartorialism an addiction?

Back in the late 70' and early 80's street violence was par for the course in certain inner Sydney suburbs. There were some suburbs where you wouldn't venture out alone if walking after midnight because of stupid skin head and other idiots with issues.

Last night my son came home at 4am after being bashed by four dick heads in Civic after leaving a nigh club on Bunda St. As per ******* usual no AFP presence probably off eating doughnuts and drinking coffee. Wankers.

Sorry to hear GF

I'm not a violent man, however l would be more than happy to round up a few SF members in my Navara truck and we can go and smash dem bastards!!!

On a positive note great cricket result, and a worthy sign off for Clarkey.

FWIW Haddin is not a wanker Johnny....

Surely someone wants my resplendently, decadently luxurious Draper Anton slippers.

I will entertain offers.

On the way home, I stopped in at seven eleven, and was shocked to see that cigarettes have now gone over the $30 mark (pack of 25).

Yeah, about a minimum of $12.92 of any 25 pack of smokes these days is tax and duty.

I think the suits were too tight in Skyfall.

I've always viewed that as deliberate part of the narrative - in Skyfall they're trying to represent him as a busted-up out-of-shape old man, and for someone with Craig's physique the way to do that is with too tight clothes.
