I have to wonder is it class clown or ass clown?

Either way comrades one and all I will be incommunicado over the Bah Humbug period so I hope all your sartiorial dreams come true and your NYE alcohol consumption does not induce cirrhosis of the liver. You know who I’m talking about PoP amongst others.

Similar are available from Bunnings as well. These clamp by swinging the hook. As such, they often open when you take them off the rail. I'm looking for the type where the clamping mechanism is separate from the hook.

The black plastic part is an actual latch that you have to lock/unlock - it won't fall open from simple handling.

It's a cheaper version of the Hanger Project version (cheaper wood, plastic latch mechanism instead of a wire one). Here's a YouTube video of a generic brand (or maybe Ikea's the generic, who knows?).

Has anybody bought from an overseas store not paying GST directly on sub $1000 goods?
I am happy to pay the GST at the border, but I'm wondering what the processing fee will look like.

I have't been hit with it yet and have ordered from A few different affiliates from various countries. It is on the store apparently, not the consumer.

My same experience as well, understanding is that if GST is not collected on sub-$1,000 at checkout then it won't be held-up/collected at the border either.

And from memory only applicable to international sellers/stores who have $75K or more of business with Australia.

My recent experience was with Allen Edmonds and I was changed GST on the shoes and shipping. And they definitely would not do more than $75k a year in sales to Australia.:brick::brick::censored:

However as it’s under the umbrella of Border Free that could explain it. Maybe.

Pretty sure they would, that's only like 200 odd pairs of shoes for them and I think there's some local stores that stock them too

I believe Allen Edmonds charge it directly at time of checkout. If I am correct, you were not charged this by Australian customs?

Basically, looking to by a Pelikan Souveran m600. UK prices absurdly cheaper than sale AU prices.

I am wondering what will happen at customs - if I have to pay the GST, that's fine, but I am a little scared about this 'processing fee'. Having said that, I read about this on a accounting firm website, not a Government page.
