I know it's too late now, but I've always thought these Aldens were a great formal shoe choice. They're also a balmoral, while the Ferragamo Andrea is a blucher making it inherently too informal for a tuxedo. Maybe it's just because I don't like patent leather when calfskin can be shined to a quite high gloss and can be used for other occasions. Congratulations on the wedding.

How about Mr. Armani moves the ash cloud himself. All the shipping money in the world won't move a package quicker due to something like this.

I am in a similar situation in regards to buying formal wear and will be visiting SF this weekend. Could someone point me in the direction of a fine clothing store that can give me wonderful advice and selection of bow ties. I am looking for a very traditional/classic look. Thanks so much!

Love this posting. I will now get the peak lapel and wear a bow tie. Any ideas where I can find a good bow tie (black) online? And a nice dress shirt online? send me some suggestions...MTM white pique shirt w/ fly front from Harry Rosen was the one he put but I can't find something similiar.
