Greetings all,
Long time reader, first time poster here. I'll try keep in short and sweet! (If your time is precious, the question is just below the picture
)
I've recently discovered my inner passion for clothes and have done a complete wardrobe overhaul. I have some fantastic Loake/Church shoes on the way, all with their own shoe trees, so they aren't the issue.
However, I recently purchased some more casual brogues for a modest price and decided to get some shoe trees for them. Being in Perth, Western Australia...these were the best I could find ($40 dollars, and yet I still somehow doubt they are even cedar).
The left shoe is without a shoe tree for comparison.
My question is, despite being a size down (44/45 shoe tree, size 46 shoe) are these stretching my new brogues far too much?
They seem rather elongated when the shoe tree is in.
Again, they weren't expensive, so it isn't too great an issue..however peace of mind would be fantastic. As the more expensive shoes with the more expensive shoe trees aren't here yet, I don't really have anything to compare them to.
I appreciate any advice or comments, and I appreciate all the wisdom and knowledge you've all poured into this forum, it's helped a lot.
