Moogoo - I recently bought a similar vintage in a 9.5E and yours look quite the same (from the pics, anyway). Looks like shell to me. Even if they aren't as nice as you think, now you can dump those ****** India-made shoes.

Good to know. It's funny but those India made shoes are my most comfortable ones and the ones I wear in ****** weather.

My wife hates them, but when my feet hurt that's what I wear.

How do you thrift a lifestyle that already mandates wearing smelly, used shoes? I shudder to fathom it.

They are half lined, and I think below vamp they are linen-lined. They have some micro-creasing, but they have the same "dull shine" of shell and don't take polish or conditioner too well. I have them pegged as either CG or shell. I also agree with Moo that the puckering around the lace holes seems like a shell trait.
.

These are not shell. Moo's, I think yes, but am not 100%

If you're unemployed with tens of thousands of dollars worth of custom clothing in your wardrobe, you might be an igent.

If you bid on other people's smelly, used shoes on ebay because they resemble something you saw on the internet, you might be an igent.

If your 700 sq-ft apartment is too small to hold all your Rubincacci suits and Alden longwings on the plaza last, you might be an igent.

If your first forays into style began with wearing shorts and OTC socks with ostrich-leather shoes and a sock in your pocket, you might be an igent.

you bring the lulz, good sir. We need a Moo smiley. By the way, the shoes came and they are shell but the shoelace holes are tearing. I'm returning them - the seller is very gracious.

Also, nice thread necromancy.

But I do give the seller props for offering a refund if they turn out not to be shell. They are not, but maybe the seller is honestly not sure about it.
