Are linen suit jackets generally shorter in length?

Hi all, I just purchased a suit from 120% Lino and the look and fit is perfect except for one detail: the length of the jacket is 29" on a 44 US (presumably supposed to be R, but it's unspecified and of course it's closer to an S in reality). I'm just wondering whether this is typical for linen suit jackets. Are they generally supposed to be cut shorter?

EDIT: For reference, pictured here: https://www.matchesfashion.com/us/products/120%-Lino-Single-breasted-linen-jacket-1517712

I don’t think there is any rule or guideline that a jacket length should somehow depend on the material it’s made from. A casual sport coat can run a little shorter than a blazer or suit jacket IMO but it should still, at a minimum, cover your rear. If it doesn’t it’s too short.

The other issue is that a short jacket also may have an overly high buttoning point.

If anything with linen, one might want more length as with wrinkles, it will tend to wear shorter than wool.
