Are Burberry coats worth the money?

The model is pretty much your typical Burberry Trench coat. Burberry was a very good brand for coats. Now, they are made in Thailand and Macau. Only the Burberry Prorsum line and a few selected pieces of Burberry London are made in Italy and UK. Also, in the old days, all Burberry coats were made from Gabardine. They would never wriggle and are durable. They are still pretty good coats but, price/quality, I would say it is not worth buying it at retail price. You can find better deals at that price range.

I have that exact coat, London rarely goes on sale. Paid ~ $1000 at the only discount I found. Fabric is really durable and does not wrinkle. Fit is so-so, not tailored enough for my tastes.
I also bought a Prorsum trench during the Mr. Porter sale for ~ $1000 (retail was $2000) and the fit/finish blows the other one away.

That coat looks way too short IMO. That one is barely covering the model's butt.
