Anyone help me find a nice brown causual jacket?

Anyway ... New jacket arrived ...
Feels nice to wear but looks long in these pics?
Problem is I'm comparing the pic to pics of the model wearing the jacket on the store site - and he's almost certainly a couple of inches taller than me and wearing the same size (m). I know that if I sized down it will be too tight on my torso. Is this just something I am going to have to deal with, being a man of slightly below average height but average width?

Have you actually tried on the smaller size? I suspect it may be a better fit. Also depends on what you plan to wear underneath the jacket.

No, I haven't ... You might be right. But I will be wearing layers underneath, that's what an autumn jacket is all about right?

Nice jacket, I like the color, but to my eyes, that jacket is too big and too long on you. A casual jacket like this, will look much better when it ends around where your jumper ends and when the fit is snug, not tight, snug. It's a small difference that makes all the difference. Now I don't know how it feels on you. All I can say that it "looks" big and I don't think that's the look you're aiming for.
I'm not a sartorial expert or anything, just saying what I see. Take that as you will, what do I know, each to his own, etc., etc.,

It will have to go back I think, and unfortunately they don't have any size S in stock. So on with my search I go...

The All Saints came...
The body fits me like it's MTO.
It's a little rumpled in the pic, this is straight out of the box.
For comparison, I'm 6' and 168#s. This is a medium.

Ok so I have gone totally off-piste now and into the territory of olive green. Not a place I intended to go but saw this jacket and thought it was approximately the style I was after, and most importantly - that it actually seems like it fits me! Opinions please?
