Any idea who makes these bloody beautiful Cifonelli loafers?

On eBay today I found this pair of Cifonelli suede loafers that I absolutely don’t need but couldn’t resist buying, and I’m wondering if anyone has any clues as to who made them (or who, more generally, usually makes or has in the past provided Cifonelli with their very small collection of shoes).

I’ve been searching online and the only possibility I could find was a suggestion that Gaziano & Girling may play a role at some point along the way, though as these shoes are made in Italy G&G are definitely not the manufacturer.

It’s not the end of the world if I never find out, but I’d love to know something about the provenance of these things. Any guesses, hints, suggestions or vague unsourced rumours would be greatly appreciated :)

This is quite a common model; lof and tung, septieme largeur, caulaincourt, yeossal and Carmina come to mind and I’m sure there are a lot of others

You should just write them and ask.

I’ve reached out to them on Facebook where they seem fairly active, but... well, y’know. I’m guessing they don’t exactly prioritise questions from cheapskates like me who grab their products on eBay and will never set foot inside their shop :)
