When a style goes on clearance online, is it cleared out with the same price at the stores?

I have a question for you gents:

I bought a pair of hardly worn bourbon Strands off ebay for a great price, but when I got them I realized that the cap toe on the left shoe isn't straight and it causes the vamp to flex awkwardly. They are first quality and lack any markings on the sole. Would AE replace these with a new pair? How would you go about approaching AE about issue?

What's the diff between McT and McAllisters?

I see the McT are more casual... but why?

It's not really noticeable in the second pic, to me.

Brown CXL Bayfields.

Didn't like them when I first saw them - the leather looked a bit matte and almost too casual. But they cleaned up nicely and now have a soft glow.

The McT has the following casual details:

Rough cowhide leather vs dress calfskin
Stitching uses contrasting colors
Double sole vs single
Split reverse welt (the strip of leather that attaches the shoe it its outsole) vs flat welt

I think you should try to return it to the seller. I don't think AE should take the hit for a pair of used shoes that you bought online. Who knows what's the story behind that pair. That's the risk you take when purchasing used online, and should be ready to swallow the loss. If you had bought from them, and they were defective, different story. AE CS awesome, and once went above and beyond when FedEx messed up big time. But there should a limit to what can be taken to them.

I prefer the brown or ravello shell more than the lighter colors like natural or whiskey, as for me lighter colors aren't that versatile. Cornwallis and Mora 2.0 in brown/ravello shell with double leather sole will be great as webgem...
Agree. Also, whiskey makes it look like you're wearing pumpkins on your feet.

Guys, how long ago was the Rutledge discontinued? That was a beautiful shoe, I'm sorry to have missed an opportunity to buy.

BTW, great deal on the Park Ave Duffle Bag right now ($333 down from $700). I have the Strand one (same leather, just in Walnut and with perforation details) and it's beautiful/awesome.
