I just want to add, for the benefit of anyone who might find themselves similiarly situated in the next 10 months: I was able to book with Delta miles on Continental via NWA's mileage program, even though Delta itself showed no seats available. I transferred the miles (for free) to an NWA FF account in my name and booked the flight via NWA's web site. Big-time score.

If its economy, fly Continental.

If business or above, go with Air India. They have pretty sweet flat beds on their new 777s. Continental has a very mediocre BusinessFirst section (more business than first) on their Delhi non-stops.

RJ: The old domestic Indian Airlines always sucked. Air India (the international arm) was always waaaaayyyy better in my opinion.

Agree that Jet Airways is one of the best (anywhere in the world)

As I said at the bottom of the first page, it's sorted. Thanks, all. Biz class on AI wasn't an option, as the miles in question were from Delta, but hopefully the CO flight will work out, and biz on anyone has to be better than coach on anyone else. I understand that CO is retrofitting its 777s, so hopefully she'll get a good plane.
