These are are off the beaten path compared to the classics many here prefer. But I think they look interesting.

Are they classy (ie a notch above black with white trim) or faux-leopard-skin-style obnoxious?

Here's a very clear picture:

that looks nothing like an indoor soccer shoe. i believe it's meant to look like a 1960s track shoe, with the 9,95 being a reference to the winning time in the 100m dash. "azteca 68" refers to the 1968 olympic games in mexico city.

i don't go for the slim soled sneaks, too trendy from 5 years ago, but if you like them, i don't see how they are any worse than the white stripe version.

+1. Sambas, Copa mundial, et al. Those are your indoors.

They look like the exact shape of their "Goodyear" racing series (which were horrible, lots of weird accoutrement and tire tread bottom) mixed with the Sambas. I like them but they're definitely, as bapelolol said, "Eurotastic" and I couldn't imagine wearing them with anything I own.

I, for one, like them.

In fact, I might think about getting this pair. It looks fairly nice.

I don't think a lot of people pay that much attention to your shoes. When you talk to someone, they see your jacket, shirt, jeans...not so much shoes.

With a glance, they can tell its slim, black, with a little gold "pop". Why not get them?

Yeah, this shoe looks like it should have spikes.

I'm not a big fan of these, but if you like 'em... Btw, I often notice shoes first, then jackets & shirts, then jeans.

I couldn't disagree more, though ask me a few months ago and I'd agree.

I always thought offhand that shoes did matter but didn't really focus on them. Then a friend of mine said "Shoes make or break an outfit" and I just kind of agreed... then really thought about the state of my shoes. There were entire looks that I had refused to wear because skate shoes, Nike Air Max's, and a pair of diesels just weren't going to cut. Since that time I've bought 7 pairs of shoes (2 pair boots, 1 pair ankle boots, 3 oxfords, 1 pair loafers).

Make or break might overstate it but correct/excellent footwear can easily drag down a decent outfit or put a really great one on the next level.
