My accessories:

  • watch (Seiko)
  • decent pen (Cross)
  • highlighters & other pens (I actually work, so those are a must for work--not for dress)
  • knife (Benchmade Pardue Axis)
  • Gun....stays at home. I haven't found a way that I like to carry w/a tucked shirt

What's up with this pocket knife you all have. Is it that important?

I always carry a multi-tool knife because I've got scissors, manicure blade, cork-screw, bottle and can opener, saw, couple of screwdrivers, and a regular blade. Things I've found to be useful to always have on me, instead of having to go and find them or borrow them.

I've gone round to a few friend's places with a bottle of wine, and find they don't even have a cork-screw in the place.

Lol, never thought about that. I see many of you use that (maybe more normal in the US?)

You took the time to specify that EVERYTHING on your enormous list is a "must-have."
Then you admit you don't have any cufflinks, even though they are just about the only thing on your list that is, in fact, a "must-have" item.

This made me smile too!

A collar pin only makes sense if a pinned collar or a tabbed collar complements your face, which is obviously not true for everyone.

I am also not so sure if a flask is really a must have (unless you have a little issue) ... probably rather something nice to have

So far, I got....

I think I can cover most of it with:
  • Pocket Squares.......
  • Pocket Squares: Vintage Hermes square and Tom Ford. (go for bright and shw some colors and designs)
  • Tie Bar: Gucci
  • Collar Pin: None
  • Wristwatch: Haurex (still waiting for the Hublot)
  • Scarf: Z Zegna and Marcs
  • Cufflinks: None (stick it out with the braided elastic ones ) (Go a bit crazy- within means- bright colors and designs)
  • Umbrella:None (live in Australia)
  • Briefcase: Bally leather envelope
  • Eyewear: Persol (Ray Bans are nice and classy, but get something that's a bit unique/ different, but still gives you a great look)
  • Fountain Pen: Explorer. (saving for Mont Blanc)
  • Wallet: S. Ferragamo card wallet (keep it simple, no more than 4 cards)
  • Pocket Flask: dont drink (Teetotaler :))
  • AND
  • Weekend Bag: Ghurka
  • Casual Watch: WeWood (its different, great look and feel) and G-Shock (for the outdoorsey days)
  • Belts: Zegna (Black formal). Also, graba a brown formal. At least two casual (fabric). Keep the buckles with in taste nothing big, and strictly no buckles, leave those for the cowboys.

Keep the list going....

Most jackets and all coats I own have to have room for a notebook on an inside pocket.

Things I always carry in my weekend bag (or in my pockets ...):

* Cell phone
* Card holder
* Collapsible umbrella
* Sunglasses
* A few tissues
* Notebook
* A few pens and pencils
* Lip balm

That's it. I try to keep the inventory as minimal as possible.

Never leave the house without:

Wallet (with mini pen hooked inside)
Keys
iPhone
Wedding band
Sunglasses
Watch

When dressed for work (suit or SC and tie etc.) add:

Cotton pocket handkerchief
Pocket square
Tie bar (usually low enough to be invisible with jacket closed)
Cufflinks if wearing a FC shirt

That's about all I can think of.
