Aaargh what did I do to my shoes?!

Maybe someone can help me with this dilemma-

I moisturized my shoes about a week or so ago, but made the mistake of applying the moisturizer directly to the shoe, as opposed to applying it to the cloth and rubbing it on the shoe. Pictures of the tragic aftermath-

Anyone have any kind of correction for this problem? Notice how in a stroke of genius, I did it to both shoes.

Looks like maybe you forgot to wipe off the excess too? Just re-condition, then polish.

if not, just use shoe cream to add color.

Wow- it bleached/removed color. What product were you using?

I've done this before with AE conditioner/cleaner as it will take the color out (b/c it's a cleaner) if you apply it directly and leave it for more than just a little bit. Try wiping down the shoes with a damp cloth, letting it dry. Then brush with a horsehair brush, then apply shoe cream and polish. Should be good to go after that.
