In my experience it is. As tempting as this offer is to me, I've had jl in 7000 last on the exact same size and now putting it up for sale....the 8000 last is wider and fits me better

Thanks cgo. That was my thoughts too. I have slightly wider fit and a modified SC last to accomodate that. I have a pair of UK7.5EE Saint Crepin chukka from 2012, and that one is still rather narrow. I've heard that the 7000 last is pretty narrow.
