To me it's an issue of balance and subjective style. I used to not like the 3-roll-2.5 but have warmed to it lately. I like the symmetry of a little arc above and below the fulcrum button. Some good examples have a nice curve all the way from the lapels through the button and down into the quarters. Whereas 3-roll-2 create more of an X with straighter angles. Each has their place with me. The true 3 on the other hand...

Frankly I think the 2.5 rollover lapel is about as stupid as the convertible cuff. There's 3-button and then there's 2-button, there's French cuff and then there's a button cuff. Get off the ***** train and pick one.
