I live in india and doubt that georgia can be hotter than india. I have zero linen. Linen looks very casual for work, like you slept in your clothes. I dont like that look. Posted via Tapatalk

I dont agree really. Plain weave definitely, but there are other weaves that dont look like aluminum foil after you put them on. Also, I imagine georgia is a much more uncomfortable heat than india.

That depends on which section of India one is talking about. Chennai (formerly Madras) in the summer is 40C with 100% humidity - that's about 120F, which I think outstrips Atlanta for discomfort.

(I work with a large number of South Asian consultants from all over the Indian subcontinent.)

Never been to Savannah huh? I go about every summer, don't ever think there was a high temp lower than 100 deg, and is like a sauna. You sweat like a whore in church.

I've never been to Savannah (or Charleston, SC), but have heard that both are charming - in the right season, which does not seem to be summer. As I sweat like a dray horse in any sort of heat (even without the threat of religion), the American Southeast is a place that I would avoid in warmer months.

The Deep South can be brutal. New Orleans is pure misery from the end of May until the end of September.

I have several heavier linen items that don't really wrinkle badly.

Friday is forecast to be rather cloudy and not terribly warm. I suspect my participation may be restricted to one of trousers/tie/square rather than any of suit/shirt/jacket. Hopefully we'll get a linen re-run in the summer!

I only have one linen suit from H&M and it's my least favorite one. I'll try to wear it anyway!
