would getting 2nd hand make a difference in effectiveness of chair?

I was looking to buy an Aeron but people keep suggesting to buy new

Like anything, it depends on the previous owner.

But you're talking about a $200 price difference. If you're spending that much, might as well spend the extra dollar considering you will be using that around 6-8 hours a day 5 days a week if you work from home.

Haven't tried Knoll Life nor Humanscale Freedom. The latter's a little too expensive though.

My OfficeDepot chair is a broken down ************* so I'm finally going to dole out some cash to get a new one. Anyone with a recommendation for a less expensive, but still quality, office chair? No $50 Staples task chairs plz.
