So I've narrowed my search for a good jean with a tiny bit of a bootcut to two pairs, both ES. What's your vote?

The first pair says that it's black in the description, but when I called the ES store about availability, they said that it's more of a midnight, and that it's really stiff, and feels almost coated.

Pair two looks a bit like the Patriot wash that the Fulton comes in.

Anyone have any thoughts? This jean would be worn for both dress and casual most likely. Or should I just get both, lol?

If you don't have black in your rotation, I'd go for the first pair. Don't know if you can get the Hutch in rigid, but Revolve has the Fulton (true straight leg) rigids, fwiw.

The first one isn't what it looks like in the picture. I'm told it's a very inky midnight blue, and coated with resin or something, so it won't wear like a dry jean (and I don't want it to). The Hutch doesn't come in dry, but it comes in a line dry wash, which I don't want. I already have a pair of RRDS that will look the same.
