How do you like that book so far, CP? Something about all the hype surrounding it put me off from buying it.

Oh my, lefty. I had to google that. I'll give you a google back: I feel a bit like Kapitein Iglo with the anchor buttons...

I'll keep the anchor buttons, gdl. Just in case... Now stop calling those nice buttons 'dainty', please. They're 3 centimeter (!) honest horn discs!

I'll post a (spoilered) pic, FranSuitman.

Thank you, whether you change them for horny buttons or metal anchor buttons or whatever you decide at last, please, post that spoilered picture, now I'm curious.

I've only just started the book--a Christmas present--and already dozens of Jefferson myths have been discounted. This is a timely read. If we think that politicians, today, are rascals, they are angels when compared to the skull skulduggery and back knifing performed by their predecessors of the first decades of our country. It is a very readable book.

What he's referring to is a different breed of underhandedness than is common today. The revolutionary generation politicians used to screw each other not their constituents.

It's a German button factory. I think they ship to the US as well, but I don't know about the shipping costs. They sell them in batches of 25. And they're closed until Monday.

Interested in splitting the cost? I don't need 25 of these buttons and I'm guessing you don't need 25 either. I have a 1967 Pea Coat in awesome condition, but I can't do the anchor buttons and I never wear it. If it had better buttons, I would wear it.

I won't need 25 for the coat either, but Mrs NOBD sometimes makes clothes. I intended to keep the rest for future projects. But there were more members asking about the buttons. Maybe I can link you up?
