I never knew he had a back log? What does that mean exactly? He has appointments every trunk show, you can make one online, I've never had to wait long to see him, especially in NYC. I've never had any delays with fittings or anything being adjusted. Just my experience...

Sorry I meant the turnaround time from the last fitting to be precise. It feels a bit strange to me that it’s been 7 months since the fitting (and I believe just one is required for the polos) and for them to still not be completed, but wasn’t sure if he was particularly busy or something

Luca has gone radio silent regarding an order placed 3 months ago. Anyone know what the status is for the aforementioned backlog?

Historically the delivery of new shirts for established pattern has been 2 months max.

Met in NYC for the initial measurements in March 2023, fitting meeting in NYC cancelled when he left a day early in May 2023, make up fitting in late July 2023 in Naples, emailed a number of times including twice in the last 2 months, inconsistent response rate and no responses to the most recent emails, still no ETA on when the shirts will be done. These are the polos that he makes, I was hoping that based on his typical turnaround time I was going to wear them through last summer, now it's unclear if I'll even get to wear them this summer...

Ah I see, I am not sure how the polos are made, likely not the standard bespoke process, as they're stocked not just by Lucca but by resellers like Permanent Style, sorry to hear, I'd try reaching out again

It's probably an oversight by the factory that he works with but even then, I think if someone is working with a factory it's on them and not their customer to make sure orders are moving along. Plus it's one thing to not be able to deliver a product in a timely manner, I'm quite used to delays with bespoke / MTM products, but it's another to be radio silent on emails. I sent another email last night, we'll see

I own about 20 LA shirts with the first order being about ten years ago. I have always placed my orders from Naples. I have found him to be very responsive and accommodating.

With that written, his assistant (Francesca) is another matter. i have found her responses inconsistent and occasionally dilatory. Try speaking with him directly if you are having problems.
