so Thom Browne isn't having a runway show this fall due to pitti...but he is having a trunk show at 100 hudson st in nyc.

The Thom Browne Fall/Winter 2009 collection will be on display exclusively at our 100 Hudson Street store. Please join us for the opening event Friday February 20, 2009, starting at 6 pm. Champagne will be served. Guests will be able to pre-order and
preview collection pieces to be shipped in time for fall.

You can even get free champagne if you drop by the Thom boutique at pretty much any time. They're not that much into the support that they won't fill the glass of a smalltimer like me.

i can't wait to go...sad but this will be the only way to see the full collection in person before its in stores. plus free champagne? great! now i'm going to be drunk buying suits.

I too have met the Thom. He was rather a tiny dancer.

His family lives down the street from my old house, and one of my best friends in high school was apparantly related to him. Alas, we have never crossed paths.

He and I exchanged glances on the street in Florence last summer (true story, minus any implied romanticism). A very arresting figure, you can't miss him.

If they want people to spend, the champagne ought to be free, although I guess buyers and magazines are the targets at trunk shows. I was just at the spring '09 Diesel trunk show here in Beijing and all they had was coffee. Probably for the best since I had more to complete that afternoon. Anyway, it would be great to be in NYC.
