MSG hangover  

MSG hangover = "I ate too much food and I feel bad."

Were some scientific studies on this. In a blind study, MSG had no effect on how eaters felt afterwards when all other variables were held constant. However, when allowed to eat freely, participants consistently ate more of the MSG flavored food (because it tastes better), and then had more reported negative side effects.


I had an argument with my research adviser about this once. Had to produce the paper before he'd believe me, he was sure he had an MSG allergy

Yeah, MSG allergies are bunk. You might feel like **** after eating a bunch of it, but that's probably because you just ate a bunch of fried, sugar coated (and delicious) Chinese food, not because of the MSG.

Someone told me the weekend before last that since she has gone gluten free her fibromyalgia is in remission. I wish I was making this up but I'm not.

I have no trouble saying I ate a whole lot but I don't feel like I've got a migraine after eating at the Brazilian steakhouse that i usually binge at.
After eating a lot I do "feel bad" from over eating but this is different. I have a throbbing headache and feel sick overall.
This was my fist time at Korean BBQ. God do I regret it.
