lol. most profs here make the exams hard enough that the average is rarely higher than 70%, usually closer to 50-60%.

The average is supposed to be 70-73 for a class.

Agreed. It's also fun when you're the class that the prof experiments with a new teaching method on and the class average drops 20 points from the previous semester.

Wow, Neo just outted himself. He's never been to university let alone med school.

Btw, things can be curved up or down. I've had classes where the cutpoint for an "A" was 94% (too many eff'ing engineers in a b-school stats class).

Truth: I had a class where the professor assured us that no more than 40% of the class (and probably less) would get an 'A'. In a class of 20, that meant there were, max, 8 As to go around. Kinda BS-y, but it got some of us pretty damn motivated.

I think Virgin 7 jumped the shark when you wanted us to believe Jamie was a girl. There are certain plot tensions that should never get resolved, like Carrie finally marrying Big.

..or Sam and Diane - once those two got together, they had to write Diane out of the show. For that matter, how about Luke and Lorelei? Star-crossed and meant to be together, but never to be.
