People who are **** at explaining things and just expects you to piece what they are say together out of the blue,.

i am guilty of this all the time  mainly because i'm easily distracted/go off on tangents and i end up trying to say more than one thing all at once. the folks that work for me tell the new people "go ahead and interrupt to ask him what the hell he's talking about if you need to. he expects it."

Why are all the fruit cups these days in light syrup? What is this bullshit? I want REAL SUGARY SYRUP.

Also, why doesn't anyone sell hot salsa anymore? What is this ***** **** with the mild and medium only?

Damn you, you fatass average American *****, damn you.

:censored:

And F you to anyone who calls me out for buying fruit cups. I need the damn vitamin C for my flu, you asshole.

why the hell are you buying fruit cups, fruit cup?

Put the tip of your tongue on the hard palate, create a nasal, drop the tongue, create an "o" with your lips then proceed with the close-mid vowel.

Really not that hard, bro.

I assume you're American, so it would be "proceed with the diphthong [oʊ̯]". Really not that hard, bro. If you're going to be a pedantic **** then at least get it right on these fori.

Whaaat! I thought you were in Houston. I was referring to the mass produced salsas you buy at grocery stores, but yeah, I'm sandwiched between Uptown and Knox-Henderson.

The only tex-mex place I've been to was this one in Uptown. It was alright. Definitely not authentic tex mex as it caters to a different crowd.

My favorite mexican place used to be on Henderson: Cafe San Miguel, but they closed down. Graciela's off of NW Highway behind the Half Price Books is awesome. Cuquita's is my favorite but that's in Richardson. Monica's Nueva Cocina on Cedar Springs is really good, although I miss her old place in Deep Ellum. Pepe and Mitos in Deep Ellum is great too. If you want the real **** that the actual Mexicans eat, go to Tipico's on NW highway and Webb Chapel. And if you really want to get down, go get some tacos from Fuel City, which is actually a truck stop right by the 35/30 interchange; best consumed after a night of heavy drinking.

I think my insurance company just told me to lie to my doctor.

I was trying to make an appointment for 3 things: a Physical, a fresh STD screen, and to complain about some occasional pain I have been having in my sternum since the last time I was at the doctor (I was doing Judo at the time so it was probably just bruised and would get better). Figured I could knock them all out in one visit. Doctor's office told me my last physical was in march so I would have to check if my insurance is based on a calendar year or if I would have to wait until march for another physical.

The insurance company woman tells me that it is calendar year so I am good for the physical (which has no copay) but that if I go in there with something wrong, it will turn into a diagnostic visit and I will be charged. She then suggested that I go to the physical, do the normal physical things, and then when asked, say that I feel fine and there's nothing wrong. Then I could go later for a diagnostic visit (which would make me look dumb..."oh yeah, you know how I said everything was fine?...actually this has been bothering me for the past 9 months")

I can't figure out why she would say this. Was she trying to save me money? I need to have this looked at...so whether I go for a separate visit before or after the physical for a diagnostic...I will have to pay either way. If I have to go twice, won't the insurance company end up paying *more* money? I just want to have these 3 things taken care of...shouldn't I do it all at once?

TLDR: Insurance woman suggested that I say I am fine during my physical and then come back for a second visit to talk about what is actually bothering me.

What kind of third world country do you live in where you have to talk to a bureaucrat before you see a doctor?

The fact that there's a guy and his wife on this forum that both actively post details about their personal lives is creepy. I'm imagining:

- At least one of them was divorced at some point
- They met online or at some singles meetup or something
- They go on WOW adventures with Piobaire

I get creeped out every time one of them mentions the other. It's like they're both sitting in a room a few feet from each other posting on the Internet instead of talking.

This has always been strange to me but I figured I'd bring it up since I think ignoring old friends and calling their lives 'sad' on the Internet is the biggest shithead move possible. My longtime friends will always be my friends no matter what happens even if we do different things. I have too many good memories to just ignore them.

If you don't like the above then just put me on ignore -- it saves time because there's little to discuss or gain.

Edit: The creepiness was also a large factor in why I posted this.

Wow what a rant. Given the personal information you have shared on the internet I'm really quite stunned that you would have the audacity to call us creepy, that said I'm going to tell you the same thing I would tell someone who doesn't like me or my life in the real world

If you don't like like what you see go somewhere else, nobody is making you stay!

If seeing us post bothers your tender sensibilities oh so much why don't YOU put us on ignore because quite frankly I couldn't give two ***** about you or your opinions and I'm not going anywhere.

LC, please tell me this does not mean you're done playing WoW. :(

Munch: Deep Ellum. Spent some time in 99 in Dallas during a corporate buy out and discovered that part of town. Was staying at some place, just redone back then, art deco...the Pegasus maybe? I can remember one bar, think it was called the Copper Tank?

The Copper Tank was a nice little brew pub. Unfortunately it closed. Deep Ellum has changed a lot since 99. It went through a period where it became a hangout for roughnecks and the crime went way up, most of the bars left, and when they came to clean the place up it was mostly lofts. There are still some good places there, and a few new ones, but it's definitely not what it used to be.

Nice. When it comes to ethnic food, I'm a fan of seeking the places where the regulars are actually of that ethnicity.

Do you have any suggestions for authentic Chinese food? Especially Szechuan style.
